BuyThis collection of songs was mostly written and recorded in the small hours of the night when we were at our loneliest and secretest. We didn't intend on showing any of them to anyone, but with humble encouragement from good people we felt more confident in exposing little vulnerable pieces. The most important thing about these songs is that in the process of writing and recording them, we found a family of friends who looked after us and our music in ways that we never thought anyone would. They nurtured and supported us and because of this, these are their songs as much as ours. We called it Be Brave for the simple reason that we had to learn how to be unafraid and apply it in practise despite being shy and freaky people. The Drop Out Venus family would like to thank you for being a drop out. Strength Iva - 2 tracksZaek is my family. Sometimes our arguments turn violent. I guess mostly it's my fault. One night, Zaek punched the mirror that my friend gave me before she moved to New York. It was a big mirror and she'd half decorated it with pictures of beautiful naked men and women. I was supposed to finish it. When Zaek punched it, it broke into 34 pieces. I think every piece should be respected. I am occasionally superstitious. I did my research and found out that the only way to break the curse of a broken mirror is to bury it under the moonlight. So we did. In our friend's back garden. We made a mixtape with 34 songs on it. Four of them are complete, the rest are just sonic glimpses.We have been making music since we were children. I guess it was only last year that we thought about sharing it with anyone. I hope you like it. Be brave Mary K
